India assumes Colombo Process chair for 2024-26, first time since its inception in 2003.
India has taken over the chair of the Colombo Process, a regional consultative forum, for 2024-26. This marks the first time India has held the position since the forum's inception in 2003. The Colombo Process comprises 12 Member States of Asia and serves as a platform for the exchange of best practices in overseas employment, particularly for migrant worker-origin countries in South and Southeast Asia.
