Gildan Activewear Inc. CEO Glenn Chamandy reinstated after a six-month feud with activist investors, with shareholders electing him to the board alongside a slate of candidates put forward by activist investors. Chamandy, who co-founded the company, was ousted last year amid accusations he was unfit to lead the Montreal-based clothing company. Gildan has become a US$6 billion firm by manufacturing affordable T-shirts in low-cost countries and supplying major North American retailers.
