Bayern Munich announced the appointment of former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as their new coach on a three-year contract, following a months-long search for a replacement. Kompany, 38, previously managed Burnley in the English Premier League, leading them to promotion in the 2022-2023 season. The club will pay Burnley £10 million ($13 million) in compensation.
