Zambia has started distributing relief food to drought-affected regions, following the approval of a drought response plan for April 2024 to May 2025. The government and other stakeholders are providing cash and in-kind support to 84 of Zambia's 116 districts, as the country grapples with a serious humanitarian crisis caused by droughts, floods, and heat waves linked to climate change.
