Union bosses warn 'Czech Sphinx' Daniel Kretinsky's £3.5bn takeover of Royal Mail could lead to 1,000 job cuts, as the Communication Workers Union (CWU) prepares for talks with Kretinsky in early June. The IDS board supports Kretinsky's bid, which has sparked criticism from unions, campaigners, and politicians. CWU director general for post Martin Walsh states they will seek job commitments from Kretinsky.
