Thailand is expanding its tourism policies to boost its economy, targeting 40 million foreign arrivals and revenue of 3.5 trillion baht ($95.73 billion) this year. Key changes include longer visa stay periods for tourists, postgraduate students, and remote workers; better visa conditions for retirees; and extending on-arrival visa limits to 60 days from 30 days. The country also plans to increase the number of eligible countries for 60-day visa stays, from the current 57 nations, and will allow foreign students to stay for an additional year upon graduation. Insurance requirements for foreign retirees will also be relaxed.
