The Punjab and Haryana High Court has acquitted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and four others in the 2002 murder case of former manager Ranjit Singh. This decision overturns the life imprisonment order given by a special CBI court in October 2021. Ram Rahim, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term for raping two disciples, remains in prison due to convictions in other cases.
