1 killed, 1 critically injured in crash near Amarillo over Memorial Day weekend. One person was killed and another critically injured in a crash on Loop 335 near RM 1061 on Saturday around 10:45 a.m. Connie Werner, 51, of Spearman, attempted to avoid a crash by swerving to the left, but her Hyundai Tucson hit Daniel Contreras' Ford F-150. Contreras remains in critical condition.
