Openreach plans to expand full-fibre broadband to 2.7 million UK homes, including 400k rural ones, by end-2026.

Openreach plans to build full fibre broadband in over 500 more locations across the UK, covering an additional 2.7 million homes and businesses. This includes 400,000 premises in rural areas, such as Tobermory, Argyll and Bute, and Harlow, Essex. Openreach's £15bn project aims to make gigabit-capable broadband available to 25 million UK homes and businesses by the end of 2026.
