Ghana's construction industry chamber warns of severe health and financial problems among members due to unpaid GHS15bn (US$2.5bn) debt from the government since 2014. The non-payment has led to some contractors' deaths, others being bedridden and legal issues with financiers. Despite the government claiming to have spent GHS49bn to pay contractors, the construction chamber's CEO denies receiving such funds.
