Radha Kishan Rao, reveals that the previous BRS government in Telangana conducted widespread phone tapping of opposition leaders, dissidents within the ruling party, businesspersons, and journalists. T. Prabhakar Rao, then Chief of the Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB), allegedly oversaw the operation, which aimed to gather data on anyone perceived as a threat to the BRS government. The phone tapping targeted politicians, businesspersons, bureaucrats, members of the judiciary, and others who avoided direct phone calls due to rumors of phone tapping, instead using encrypted messaging services.
