2023 data shows that black women in London account for 62% of femicides, despite being 14% of the female population.

Black women in London face a "crisis" with higher femicide rates than other ethnic groups, new figures reveal. Met Police data shows that black women, making up 14% of the female population, accounted for 43% of 2022's 21 femicides, and 62% of 13 recorded in 2023. Sister of a victim, Keisha Christodoulou, emphasises the need for "tougher laws against men committing violence" and "more culturally specific services for black women."
