In April 2024, foreign companies operating in Pakistan repatriated $56.6m profits to their headquarters despite improving foreign exchange reserves. Profit repatriation by foreign investors increased 250% to $887m during July-April of FY24 compared to FY23, with the State Bank of Pakistan's relaxed policy towards dollar outflows. However, this figure is 635% higher than the $7.7m sent in April of the previous year.
