Adani Group is reportedly planning to enter the e-commerce and digital payments sectors, as it looks to diversify its business interests. The Indian conglomerate, which has a stronghold in infrastructure and logistics, is considering applying for a license to operate on India's public digital payments network, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and is finalising plans for a co-branded credit card. The group is also discussing the possibility of providing online shopping services through the government-supported public e-commerce platform, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
