19-year-old Surinamese sprinter Issam Asinga banned 4 years, Under-20 world record at 100m stripped for positive test of performance-enhancer GW1516.

19-year-old Surinamese sprinter Issam Asinga, who set the Under-20 world record at 100 meters, has been banned for four years and had his record stripped after anti-doping officials found him positive for performance-enhancer GW1516. Asinga claimed his positive test came from eating "recovery gummies," but the Athletics Integrity Unit ruled against his claim. Asinga plans to appeal the decision.
