Longtime Vermont state Senator Dick Mazza, known as the "Dean of the Senate", passed away on Saturday at the age of 84. Mazza, who represented Grand Isle/Colchester, served for over 50 years in the legislature and was a close friend and ally of Governor Phil Scott. Born in Colchester, he also owned and operated a general store and was involved in public service for nearly 42 years.
