44-year-old Akron resident John Wisener drowned while fishing in Springfield Lake; body found by water rescue crews.
44-year-old John Wisener, an Akron resident, drowned while fishing in Springfield Lake on Sunday morning. His fishing partner alerted Springfield Township police, and although an officer tried to search for him, Wisener's body was discovered by water rescue crews in 7 feet of water. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the cause of his drowning.
