WHO launches first Investment Round to raise $7B for its 2025-2028 strategy amid global challenges.

The World Health Organization (WHO) launched its first-ever Investment Round to raise $7 billion in funds, aiming for more flexible and quicker deployment. The funding comes amid climate change, mass migration, pandemic threats, ageing populations, and geopolitics. The funds will be solicited from both public and private donors, including foundations, and will contribute to WHO's strategy for 2025-2028. WHO's current budget is $11.1 billion for the four-year period.
