Veterans exposed to Agent Orange at US bases face cancer without VA compensation. As far back as the 1950s, the military sprayed and experimented with the powerful herbicide combination at Army bases, including Fort Ord in California, in an effort to kill poison oak and other weeds. While the U.S. military used Agent Orange in Vietnam, evidence now links it to cancer in exposed veterans, but many have not received compensation from the VA.
