Shyam Metalics & Energy Limited (SMEL) has expanded rail infrastructure at its integrated steel plant in Pandloi, Odisha, to support long-term growth and efficient operations. With four dedicated railway lines and completed overhead electrification, the plant can now handle over 110 rakes per month, up from 60%. The company plans to introduce wagon tipplers by 2028, increasing rail handling capacity by 100%.
