Poland's President contacts Congo's President over life imprisonment of Polish traveler, Mariusz Majewski, accused of espionage.
Poland's President Andrzej Duda has contacted Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi to discuss the case of Polish traveler, Mariusz Majewski, who was sentenced to life in prison in DR Congo on espionage charges. Majewski, 52, was detained by Congolese forces in February, accused of spying. Poland's Foreign Ministry insists that Majewski is not a spy but a traveler who unintentionally found himself in a difficult situation.
