NSW government targets multicultural communities with coercive control ad campaign ahead of new laws set to criminalise domestic abuse in July. Ads will be in Arabic, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Mandarin for culturally diverse groups. NSW will be Australia's first jurisdiction to outlaw coercive control, defined as repeatedly hurting, scaring, or isolating someone to have control, punishable by up to seven years in jail under new legislation.
