2nd seed Jannik Sinner advanced to the French Open second round, defeating Christopher Eubanks in straight sets (6-3, 6-3, 6-4). Sinner, the Italian star and Australian Open champion, successfully returned to competitive play after a three-week injury layoff due to a right hip injury. Despite fitness concerns, Sinner expressed happiness to be back on the court and now faces French favorite Richard Gasquet in the second round.
