Mozambique's central bank, Banco de Mocambique, cut its benchmark lending rate by 75 basis points for the third consecutive time, setting it at 15%. This makes Mozambique the first African country to reduce rates three times this year. The central bank aims to keep inflation in single digits in the medium term, citing stability in the metical and the less severe impact of geopolitical tensions on international goods prices.
