258 km Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area intercity railway, connecting 5 cities and offering 200 km/h speed, launched on May 26.

On May 26, two sections of railway in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were put into operation, marking the opening of the longest intercity railway route in the area. The 258 km line links cities including Huizhou, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, and Zhaoqing and offers a maximum train speed of 200 km/h. The railway will improve regional connectivity and provide convenience to local residents, similar to taking a subway.
