Hong Kong Chief Executive, John Lee, met with IMO Secretary-General and ICS Secretary-General to affirm Hong Kong's commitment to enhance its international shipping center status. Ranked 4th globally, the city aims to update local marine legislation, aligning with IMO requirements, and develop a maritime and port development strategy to boost Hong Kong Port's competitiveness. The central govt supports Hong Kong's international shipping center status.
