The Ghanaian Ministry of Energy has rejected claims by social media activist Kevin Taylor that a $150m Tullow contract benefits the New Patriotic Party and Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh. The Ministry described the allegations as "spurious and unfounded" and stated that it is not responsible for signing or approving contracts in Ghana's upstream petroleum industry. It urged the public to ignore the false claims.
