Germany's RWE AG finalizes 1.6 GW North Sea offshore wind investment, targeting 10 GW by 2030.

Germany's largest power producer RWE AG has made a final investment decision to construct 1.6 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity in the North Sea, despite supply-chain challenges. The company aims to triple its offshore wind capacity to 10 gigawatts by the end of the decade. Two wind farms, Nordseecluster A and B, are planned to be constructed 50 kilometers off the island of Juist, with the first turbines expected to connect to the grid by 2027.
