Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, launched the 'Feed the Hungry Initiative' in the Central Senatorial District, providing 3000 bags of rice to each local government area and 6,000 bags to churches not under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). The initiative aims to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians. The state government provided funding, while religious leaders distribute the rice through churches and mosques.
