100+ Dubbo farmers oppose the Dubbo Regional Council's privatization plan for the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets, which contributes $60m to the local economy. Ranked top for cattle sales in NSW and 3rd for sheep by Meat and Livestock Australia, the council received expressions of interest for sale or lease during a closed session on March 21. Two councillors opposed the motion.
