Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has dismissed claims that his predecessor, Ifeanyi Okowa, is influencing his decisions. Speaking at the first-anniversary thanksgiving of his administration, Oborevwori stated that Okowa is not dictating to him and that he acknowledges Okowa's wise counsel. Oborevwori emphasized that his emergence as the governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party in 2023 and his victory at the poll were the work of God.
