Calgary Health Foundation and Alberta Cancer Foundation invest $5.7M in the Sentimag Project, a groundbreaking breast cancer surgery pilot. The project uses Magseed, a magnetic seed implanted at tumor sites, replacing painful radioactive injections and reducing scheduling complexity. Magseed technology also allows for lymph node mapping during surgery and could become the standard of care in Alberta.
