British event rider Georgie Campbell has tragically died after a fatal fall during competition at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon. Campbell and her horse, Global Quest, fell at a log into water obstacle while competing in the CCI4*-S event. Medical professionals attended the scene immediately but were unable to save her. The horse was assessed by on-site vets and returned uninjured to the stable.
