Oakland Athletics place right-hander Ross Stripling on 15-day injured list due to strained right elbow. Stripling joins Paul Blackburn, Alex Wood, and Joe Boyle on the injured list. To accommodate Stripling, Jack O'Loughlin is called up from Triple-A Las Vegas and Brandon Bielak is designated for assignment. Bielak's departure leaves the team with limited starting pitching options.
