86-year-old Biddeford landlord James Earl Pak, who was convicted of murdering two tenants in a landlord-tenant dispute, has died in prison. Pak was sentenced to life in 2016 for killing 19-year-old Derrick Thompson and 18-year-old Alivia Welch, whom he fatally shot in December 2012. Pak passed away just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, according to a statement from the Maine Department of Corrections.
