Vietnam's Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh, emphasizes the importance of boosting labor productivity to achieve sustainable economic growth and avoid the "middle-income trap." Labor productivity has risen 2.5 times from 2011 to 2021, but still lags behind regional countries. To improve productivity, the PM calls for collaborative efforts among the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, trade unions, businesses, workers, ministries, sectors, and localities to create a conducive environment, promote innovation, and enhance human resources development.
