On Saturday, a large fire severely damaged Sound Furniture & Appliance store measuring 200,000 sq ft in Cedar Point, Eastern Carolina. The Western Carteret Fire & EMS Department responded at 12:45 pm, with assistance from Onslow and Jones County firefighters. The fire was controlled, and nearby businesses experienced minor damage. No injuries were reported, and the scene was cleared by 9:30 am on Sunday.
