2024 Q1 saw a 48% drop in VC funding for Irish SMEs to €258.5M, down from €502M in 2023 Q1, according to the Irish Venture Capital Association's (IVCA) VenturePulse survey. Life sciences received the most funding, followed by envirotech and software. Despite the decline, seed funding showed resilience, with early-stage Irish SMEs raising €40M and the €1-3M deal size sector rising 126% to €22.7M.
