Mounties are investigating a reported plane crash in a remote area near Squamish, B.C. The RCMP received an automatic crash notification from a smartphone on Friday evening, which was traced to a remote area on the outskirts of Squamish. Search and rescue teams and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre are working together in the investigation, with police not yet able to confirm details about the crash, including the number of casualties. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is aware of the accident and is working with the Squamish RCMP and the BC Coroner's Service to investigate further.
