Former Jackson County auditor Staci Eglen was arrested on May 24th on multiple charges of fraud, theft, and official misconduct following a month-long investigation. Indiana State Police discovered she altered invoices for goods and services, submitted them for reimbursement, and deposited the checks into her personal accounts. Eglen resigned from her position on May 3rd, 2024, and was replaced by Jamie Pyle.
