Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker's health insurance reform measures, which limit insurer's denial of coverage and ban short-term health plans, receive Illinois House final approval for enactment.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker's proposed health insurance reform measures are set to be signed into law after receiving final approval from the Illinois House. The package includes measures to limit insurance companies' ability to deny coverage or steer individuals towards less effective treatments, and bans the sale of short-term, limited duration individual health plans. The Illinois Department of Insurance will also be given the authority to approve or deny premium rate changes in large-group health insurance plans.
