Hullo Ferries, a Nanaimo-Vancouver passenger service, has reached 250,000 passengers in its first nine months. The company aims to double its ridership during its first full summer season, with May being the best month so far. Hullo Ferries CEO Alastair Caddick expects increased mainland visitors to Vancouver Island destinations, such as Parksville, and some sailings to be fully sold out in June.
