Douglas County Sheriff's Office hosts a free medication take-back event on June 14th at South Umpqua Fire Department, allowing residents to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescriptions/OTC meds from 9am-1pm. The initiative aims to prevent accidental poisonings, addiction, abuse, and environmental risks from improper disposal. Participation is free and does not require ID or paperwork.
