Court of Cassation upholds 12-year sentence for man convicted of smuggling drugs from Syria to Jordan in Dec 2021. State Security Court (SSC) had initially given a 15-year prison term, but Court of Cassation reduced it to 12 years while maintaining JD10,000 fine. The defendant and another man, who drove the drugs into the Kingdom, had decided to smuggle drugs for quick cash.
