Atlanta Braves call up RHP Jimmy Herget, designating RHP Darius Vines to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Atlanta Braves have called up RHP Jimmy Herget, who was acquired in a trade earlier this month, and optioned RHP Darius Vines to Triple-A Gwinnett. Herget, 30, was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels earlier this season and has a 3.93 ERA in 16 appearances between Triple-A Salt Lake and Gwinnett. Vines, 26, has a 7.82 ERA in three appearances for the Braves this season.
