28-year-old motorcyclist killed, 27-year-old female passenger seriously injured in Manatee County crash with a van on Friday night at 8:42 pm near State Road 684 and 51st Street West. The van, driven by a 64-year-old man, turned left into the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, causing it to overturn and both riders to be thrown off. The crash remains under investigation.
