A child on a bicycle was seriously injured in Ashland County after being struck by a vehicle driven by a suspected drunk driver, James Dwayne Taylor, 55. The crash occurred at 3:39 pm on County Road 681 near Township Road 350. The child, whose name has not been released, was flown to Akron Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Taylor was arrested at the scene for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, with additional charges pending.
