Former CIA officer and FBI contract linguist Alexander Yuk Ching Ma, 72, pleaded guilty in a federal court in Honolulu to conspiring to gather and deliver national defense information for China. Ma, who has been in custody since August 2020, is accused of spying for China for at least a decade. As part of his plea agreement, he must cooperate with the US by submitting to debriefings with government agencies, and faces up to 10 years in prison.
