Broadway subway line in Vancouver delayed to fall 2027, Pattullo Bridge replacement on track for fall 2025.
The Broadway subway line in Vancouver is delayed again and now set to open in fall 2027, while the Pattullo Bridge replacement will be complete by fall 2025. The ministry has not released information on any cost escalations as a result of the delays. The subway line was previously expected to be completed by March 2026, and the bridge replacement by the end of 2024. The first delay was partly blamed on a five-week strike by local concrete producers and the pandemic.
