UK holidaymakers are wasting £429m by leaving unused funds on pre-paid travel cards, a 16% increase from last year's £369m. An average of £87 remains unspent per person, with 13% of travellers using pre-paid cards abroad. Currensea, a travel debit card provider, reports that many face additional fees and poor rates when converting leftover funds back into sterling, or simply forget about the unused savings.
